I survived an eating disorder, a school shooting, and an abusive of all the kinds marriage and threatening divorce. I know trauma.
And I know healing.
And I know you need anchors and flexiblity in a safe space to get to the healing. I hold the safe space and offer anchor tools and choice, you just need to commit to your healing and join us.
What if you could RECLAIM yourself and heal from trauma and abuse without spending a bunch of hours (or money) you feel like you don’t even have?
What if you could devote a daily anchored, yet flexible - because I have a feeling you don’t enjoy being told what to do anymore - practice to yourself because you deserve it and crave its life changing effects.
What if you could take all of the grief, shame and rage, and transform it into fuel for post traumatic growth?
I did. And you can too!
Let me show you how to achieve radiance in body, mind, heart, and spirit without feeling overwhelmed or undeserving.
Routine and ritual rewire the brain.
Go from not knowing where to start with all the possible yoga tools to knowing exactly which poses, exercises and meditations to practice each day, on your terms and schedule.
This is for women, like you and me, who are ready to return to their true nature of joy despite and because of abuse.
Even if you have tried starting a daily practice and it didn’t stick.
Even if you feel overwhelmed with all the yoga tools and have no idea where or how to start - so you just don’t.
Even if you don’t want to be told what to do, because let’s be honest, we’ve had enough of that.
You can do this.
My goal was to create the safest space on the internet for you to show yourself you can depend on you to heal and thrive.
Most women, especially survivors of abuse, crave a daily ritual, but run into resistance and doubt.
Most women sacrifice themselves so much for so many in the name of unconditional love.
But most women also want to commit to themselves and a healthy body, mind, and heart.
They try going to a yoga class here and there, they practice breathing exercises, meditation, and even therapy and they end up not seeing the magical results those practices supposedly bring.
I get it. Same. And from experience, I know why.
It’s because your practice isn’t flexible enough to fit into life so it isn’t consistent. If it isn’t consistent it can’t be an anchor for you.
Trauma survivors need anchors. To heal you need to feel both safe and anchored and have flexiblity and choice.
I created the space for it!
An accountability community and collection of practices that encourage constancy and devotion to yourself and your healing.
This is for women who have survived trauma who want to feel at home in their body, to feel joy again, to be a magnet for wonderful lived experiences - without feeling overwhelmed, like they don’t know where to even start, or like they don’t deserve to invest the time and energy into their own healing.
Have the anchor of a daily practice to devote to yourself and your healing
AND
Have the flexibility of a practice that fits into life not the other way around??
What if you could spend as little as three minutes a day and be able to feel like you are in the driver's seat. Trauma isn’t even in the front seat, let’s send it to the back of the bus.
What if you could trade in feeling fear, shame, anger, or guilt for feeling capable, validated, nourished, and empowered?
Go from the cycle of starting and giving up to devoted, present and centered in gratitude in as little as 3 minutes a day.
The RECLAIMERS is for the woman who has survived trauma and abuse,
❤️🩹who wants to feel VALIDATED in her lived experience,
❤️🩹who wants to return to her true nature - JOY,
❤️🩹who wants to feel BLISSful in her current relationships,
❤️🩹who wants to have her BOUNDARIES honored.
❤️🩹who wants to feel SAFE, STRONG, and GORGEOUS in her BODY,
❤️🩹who wants to feel like she is inspired by her own POWER,
❤️🩹who wants to feel free to express herself and use her VOICE
❤️🩹who wants to live with EASE
❤️🩹AND who wants this all without a huge time comittment
Are you that woman?
The truth is, most women who have survived abuse know they need to comitt to their healing. BUT they don’t know where to start.
Or they feel like they “should” be doing so many other things to take care of everyone else but themselves, so they don’t take the time for it. #Guilty
I know you’ve tried. Because I’ve tried. SO. MANY. TIMES.
The reality is, without guidance, you will continue to struggle, and it’s not for lack of trying.
You try going to a yoga class here and there but you still feel disonnected from your body and are holding trauma in its cells and tissues
You try different meditations or talk therapy but you still don’t feel you have control of your own mind and its judgemental, anxious or self sabatoging thoughts.
You try “self care” in the form of bubble baths and manicures but it feels shallow and you know your feelings are DEEP.
And what’s worse…
You KNOW your true nature is joy. You can feel it, but you can’t reach it.
You feel like SO much trauma is in the way. Like it’s this big wall standing between you and that joyful you. But guess what, I've got a ladder for you. You can scale that wall and see what’s on the other side.
I’ll lead by example and show you how.
That’s why I created THE RECLAIMERS for women who have survived trauma just like you, and me. Who want to feel radiant in body, mind, heart, and spirit. Who are ready to cherish themselves as much as they do others.
And you’ll be relieved to know you can nurture yourself without a huge investment of time or money. You are in control. You get agency of your body and your experience, here and always.
Practice for just 3-5 minutes a day or practice for an hour. I created this to fit into your life, whatever life looks like.
You’ve tried going to yoga classes here and there, but had no luck because the teacher wasn’t trauma conscious and you left feeling worse than you came.
You practiced different meditations and saw so many therapists, but still your mind would try SO hard to keep you safe that it sabotaged your current life.
You even tried buying yourself flowers, shoes, or massages, but your trauma runs deep and those things can’t reach it.
GIRL, I see you. I’ve been there too.
I tried all the yoga classes. And left many feeling retraumatized and disempowered.
I tried SO many meditations and spent a ridiculous amount of time on therapists’ couches, only to feel like I was doing it all wrong because my mind wouldn’t shut up like they said it should.
I even bought myself my dream car. But no matter how fast I drive in that little red Corvette, trauma could always catch up with me and wreak havoc on my current life and relationships.
NOTHING worked until I got fierce about my 40 day practices. That was when I could finally RECLAIM my body, power, and voice. When I could lean into post traumatic growth and use it as fuel to create the life I wanted to be living.
Once I figured out how to realistically use 40 day practices to transform the shadows into light I was changed forever.
I am finally able to feel radiant, safe, gorgeous, empowered, present, and centered in gratitude for how aligned and beautiful my life is.
I want that for you too!
The RECLAIMERS helps you come home to your body, mind, heart, and spirit.
It is unlike any other, because I am a trauma-conscious kundalini instructor and teacher trainer AND an abuse survivor.
This is the product of me turning my own trauma into my dharma. I find peace in my lived experience by knowing I can help you turn yours into strengths.
But you can trust me. I don’t just guide these trauma-conscious kundalini yoga and meditations for you; I swear by these practices.
I do them, every single day! I failed to find that consistency at first, but I created what I craved to succeed, anchored yet flexible 40 day experiences.
These are the EXACT tools I used to RECLAIM my body, power, and voice, leave an abusive marriage, find happiness in a safe and healthy new relationship, and step into my most empowered and authentic self as a yoga studio owner and teacher trainer. I was the girl hiding in the back of the yoga class feeling like I didn’t belong and now I teach thousands of people a year all over the world.
I’m not someone who cares that “trauma informed yoga” is a buzzword now. I’ve been surviving trauma for 20 years, and leaning into the practice of yoga as a tool for just as long. I have been sharing it with others as a teacher for 9 years. My most recent focus has been helping create more safe spaces for humanity to practice in as an alignment based trauma conscious teacher trainer for the past 4 years.
I’ve had the joy of helping clients return home to their bodies, minds, hearts, and spirits and reconnect with their innate bliss. I’ve helped them overcome feeling like they don’t deserve to dedicate the time to themselves. I’ve guided them on where to start so they can skip the feelings of overwhelm.
I too am a woman who has experienced trauma and abuse. I believe in safety, agency, and heart centered guidance. I believe you are your own healer, I’m just here to show you hope and give you the opportunity to devote time to yourself and your healing.
I’ve been in an abusive marriage.
I deeply understand being selective about the experiences you allow in and the trust you dish out. I also deeply understand money trauma, the confusion around deciding what is best for yourself, and the difficulty in discerning what and when to invest. When you finally bravely step into your power and healing process you deserve results.
This is a product of my post traumatic growth, and I’m proud of it.
I wouldn’t share it with you if I didn’t believe in its potency.
I am not sharing anything I haven’t tested myself.
I am not sharing anything that hasn’t delivered results.
These are the EXACT tools I use navigate my continued healing journey. That journey will always be a work in progress for me, but I will always have 40 day practices. And so will you.
You don’t know me, but I hope you can feel my heart and sensitivity.
I hope you feel called to trust me so you can make this investment in yourself. Your trauma healing will most likely always be a work in progress, like mine, and that’s ok. But it can be easier, you can have more spaces of light than shadows. You can RECLAIM your body, power, and voice.

These practices were designed to fit into life, not the other way around. This is based on your schedule not mine. While I recommend practicing in the morning to start your day off, you can practice any time of day.
There is also a membership option to join our live classes, which do depend on a schedule, but there are membership options that offer the replays so you can even practice those on your own time.
There are many choices here because I love a chance to make a choice. You can choose which one fits on any given day. Kundalini inspired mudra meditations were a game changer in my own trauma healing. I recommend a meditation is your nonnegotiable every day for 40 days. Each practice will feature one. You can choose to practice an approximately 3-5 minute meditation video, a 15-20 minute video that includes a movement practice with the meditation, or a 1 hour video of a full krya and meditation. You can also use the guidance and practice the meditation on your own without the video. Or join a live class!
Kundalini Yoga is a specific type of yoga, my favorite kind to practice and teach! It is a conductor of energy and healing. It is an embodied way to work with your energetic anatomy, like your chakras! It is a potent practice that combines pranayama (breath work), movement, mantra and mudra (hand shapes) in a scientific and artistic way. It is designed to take you to the edge of your comfort zones, physically, mentally, and energetically. You choose what to do there; push through or back off. Both options are valid and always celebrated. And the ability to practice and choose heals all aspects of our being. I truly believe Kundalini Yoga creates an empowered body, nervous system, heart, and soul in a way that no other form of yoga can. So you will find a bit of it mixed into everything around here.
Great, you have a wonderful foundation to build on! When you say yoga, most people think of hatha or vinyasa classes. That is why I put the cheese on the broccoli! Let me explain- I know Kundalini Yoga is healthy for you, like broccoli, but you might not know that yet if you solely practice other forms of yoga. So I take what you know and love and put it on the broccoli. I take the safe alignment and breath as a guide from my hatha/vinyasa classes and sprinkle elements of it into my Kundalini classes. My mission is for my classes to feel familiar and safe so you are confident in your Kundalini Yoga practice.
Let me tell you a secret- when I was literally hand given the opportunity to take my Kundalini teacher training (and teach on it!) I had never even taken a Kundalini class in my life! I had heard all the things you have probably heard. I was scared. Intimidation almost made me say no to the opportunity that changed my life. I thought Kundalini wasn’t for trauma survivors. And in a sense I was right. I was hesitant as a student and a teacher. As a student, I felt my own experience with sexual trauma would deeply affect my experience with this practice. As a teacher, I didn’t feel like I had permission to share Kundalini Yoga in a trauma conscious way and I refused to teach any other way. I wasn’t sure how to merge choice, familiarity, and tradition. But Guru Singh not only gave me permission, he encouraged me. So it doesn’t matter if you’ve never taken a Kundalini class before, because my goal with RECLAIM is the create the safest space for you to experience Kundalini Yoga in so you can find the healing I have found.
Kundalini Yoga often brings you to the edge of your comfort zone. You get to discern what you do at that edge, push through discomfort, or back off. Both are valid choices. And It is ALWAYS your body, your choice. If your body gives you a hard NO for any of these movements or exercises, listen. Honor any boundaries your body sets. That is a powerful practice in RECLAIMING your body and large part of why this practice is such a potent conduit of healing. Discern the difference between discomfort and pain. Feel about it rather than think about it. I enmpower you to change, customize, or break up with exercises all together as needed. When in doubt, simply visualize the shape, movement or exercise if/when you decide something is a no for you. That goes for your breath too. Listen to any boundaries your nervous system is setting when practicing the pranayamas. If any brearthwork feels activating let it go and trade it in for long deep breaths. In the words of my teacher, Guru Singh, “always do what you can and feel good about that!” Know that however you are practicing is enough and you are enough.
I deeply understand that we all crave different levels of support along our healing journey. I am happy to hold your hand and hold you accountable. Reach out to katrina@katrinamarieyoga.com for more information on one on one sessions with me.
